How Sessions Work

Nature-based sessions are flexible and collaborative. We can:

  • Sit together in a quiet, shaded, or serene area of the park (with covering if needed for weather)

  • Walk and talk at a slow and comfortable pace, adjusting the route as needed

You’re welcome to decide what feels best on any given day—seated, walking, or a combination of both.

What to Expect

After we determine a meeting time and location, you’ll receive detailed instructions, including directions, what to bring, and what to expect. Sessions typically take place at parks that offer:

  • Free parking

  • Public restrooms

  • Drinking water fountains

  • Accessible trails or seating options

You’ll also receive an additional informed consent form to review and sign before our first outdoor session. This form covers important details about confidentiality, health and safety, and how nature-based sessions may differ from indoor or telehealth therapy.
